Hubspot’s excellent internet marketing blog posted the results of a study today comparing small business websites with blogs to businesses didn’t have them – the results were absolutely astounding.

Companies that blog have far better marketing results. Specifically, the average company that blogs has:

• 55% more visitors
• 97% more inbound links
• 434% more indexed pages

Why are website visitors important? Because more visitors mean more people to convert to leads and sales.

Still wonder if your business should be running a blog? What about a “Latest News,” or “Recent Updates” section? Because the secret isthey’re the same thing. Blog is just a short name for “web log,” and any sort of continually update content will do.
